Roman 8:5 (ESV) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
As I have matured in my spiritual journey I have experienced the fullness of the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. The power of God directing my path and learning to be led by the Holy Ghost has allowed me to really walk by faith and not by sight.
In the beginning it was hard, because that meant I had to totally surrender. Talk about a hard thing to do! It took me far too long to surrender. This meant I would not be in control. When I allowed my flesh to lead, I found myself being more reactive then active. Yes, I was leading and in control so I thought. It was as if my life was a continual roller coaster. I wasn’t in control by any measure. I could sense something was coming. I could feel it, sometimes see it, and almost instantly I began to develop my plan. With me leading it usually ended with more than I could bear. My anxiety level would be high and I would be stressed out to the max.
I finally reached a point when I said there has to be a better way. I began to pray. I began to confess my sins. I cried out to my heavenly Father. I waited. I listened. I heard that still, soothing voice say, “I will lead you.” Not only has it led me, it has kept me. In this life I have learned that unless I really turn to God for answers there can be no peace for me. I wish I could make everyone understand the power of the Holy Ghost. Once you are in relationship with God and the Holy Ghost speaks – there are a multitude of hallelujah’s, blessing’s and favor. Yes, I have learned to lean on God and let Him direct my path in life.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” Matthew 28:19 KJV
You are so glorious, awesome and kind. Please Lord continue to be ever present in my life. As I go through the week, I ask that the Holy Ghost would continue to speak to me and direct my path. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost!
